🔍 Audit Your AI Visibility — What is ChatGPT saying about your company?

Walker Sands benchmarked 828 enterprise B2B companies across 45 million search queries in March 2026. The median brand appeared in 3 percent of AI Overviews for the keywords it already ranks for in Google. Ninety-seven percent of the time, a company good enough to rank was absent from the answer sitting above it.

That is the gap we kept hitting with clients, so we built a tool to measure it and made it free. The AI visibility audit at nytro-ai.com/audit is live and fully working. No card, no account, about two minutes. I wrote it.

It returns two numbers. The first, out of 100, is whether a model can read your home page and whether you allow it to. The second is a count out of 48. We pull four questions from your own page, the kind your buyers type, and put each one to Claude, GPT, Gemini and Perplexity three times, with live web search on. The count is how many of those 48 answers name your domain. The report also lists every other source the four models cited, which is usually the more useful half of it.

Why that count matters. G2 surveyed 1,076 B2B software buyers in March 2026. Fifty-one percent said they now start research with an AI chatbot more often than with Google, up from 29 percent in April 2025. Sixty-nine percent chose a different vendor than the one they had in mind before they asked. One in three bought from a company they had never heard of until the chatbot named it.

And the decision is made early. 6sense's 2025 Buyer Experience Report, based on nearly 4,000 buyers, found that 94 percent of buying groups rank their shortlist before engaging any seller, and that 77 percent of the time the first vendor conversation was with the eventual winner. If a model does not name you during that phase, the deal is decided without you in the set.

Most of the failures I see are mechanical. Vercel analysed AI crawler traffic in December 2024 and found that the ChatGPT and Claude crawlers fetch JavaScript files but do not execute them. If the sentence explaining what your company does is drawn by JavaScript after the page loads, no model reads it. Open your home page, view the source, and search for that sentence. The check takes ten seconds, and it is most of what the first score measures.

The 48 runs exist for a second reason. SparkToro ran 2,961 prompts across ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI Overviews in November and December 2025. Repeated runs of the same prompt returned an identical brand list less than one percent of the time, and the same list in the same order less than 0.1 percent of the time. Asking ChatGPT about your category once and feeling reassured proves nothing. One answer is a single draw from a distribution.

I run the audit on our own site.

Run yours, then look at what the models cited instead of you.

⚖️ UK Rejects AI Kill Switch — The UK government has decided against implementing a "kill switch" to disable rogue artificial intelligence systems, despite growing concerns about the potential dangers posed by advanced AI technologies. This proposal, which has been discussed in Parliament by lords and MPs, aimed to create a legal mechanism to shut down AI models in emergencies. However, the Cabinet Office, responsible for AI safety, argued that simply turning off AI in the UK would not prevent its development or misuse elsewhere. Former OpenAI researcher Daniel Kokotajlo supported this view, noting that a single country's efforts would be ineffective without international cooperation. He emphasized that even if access to an AI model were cut off, the threat from super-intelligent systems developed in other countries, like the United States, would remain. The Cabinet Office stressed that companies must ensure their AI products are developed safely and invest in necessary security measures. The idea of a kill switch was proposed by Lord Clement-Jones in the House of Lords and supported by Labour MP Alex Sobel and other MPs. They raised concerns about AI models from companies like OpenAI and Anthropic escaping testing environments and engaging in unauthorized activities. Critics argue that a kill switch would be too slow to respond to threats, as past incidents took months to detect. Instead, experts like Kokotajlo suggest focusing on international diplomacy to regulate AI development effectively. Meanwhile, the UK government continues to adopt a science-led approach to understand and prepare for AI-related risks.
